Coffee. Warm, tasty, pick me up. There’s nothing like my first sip first thing in the morning. I don’t drink a lot of coffee usually 1-2 cups per day but I do enjoy it when I do. It is one of my simple joys.
Nothing says Super Bowl Sunday like a torte. At least that was what I was thinking when deciding what to make for dessert that day. I know I know torte…Superbowl Sunday… Whaat? Super Bowl is about decadence and this strawberry cheesecake torte is like a cheesecake stuck inside a cake. Yum.
When we moved into our home not only was the new house bigger we had more wall space and cathedral ceilings. We lacked artwork but what we did have was photos…lots of them. Most were of places that we’ve traveled to. I had displayed some of them on our walls in our old house but not nearly as many as we needed in the new space. Valentine’s Day is rapidly approaching so I wanted to share with you some ideas for personalizing your Valentine’s Day card. Using some basic materials and a pair of scissors you too can make an impressionable card to share with your Valentine.
All of the cards are relatively easy to make. You can use whatever paper or ribbon you have on hand. Even burlap would work as you’ll see.
I like to change my décor for the season. After Christmas was over and all of the ornaments and decorations were put away, it was once again time to take a look at how to change my décor for winter. My go to item for accomplishing this is candles.
With so many colors that are available candles are an easy way to change décor in a room. You can use whites in the winter, pinks and yellows for the spring, bright greens and blues for the summer and warm oranges and reds for the fall.
